This is a chance for amateur sleuths to pull out their magnifying glasses and decipher clues to solve............ The Curious Case of the Earl's Last Earl Grey

We will be meeting on Thursday April 23 between 5:45 and 6:00 pm at Aspira Lynde Creek Gardens to enjoy a 3-course dinner and to solve this Murder Mystery. Cost is $37 for members and $40 for guests, with a maximum of 30 participants. We encourage you to dress in your most elegant British country house party attire and roles will be assigned ahead of time by email to those who indicated they wish to be an actor when registering. Don't worry if you can't act, you won't have to learn any lines and the plan is to have FUN!

The meal will be salad, entree, and dessert and will include a glass of wine or punch. Additional drinks will be available at a cash bar.

Spring Euchre Tournament (14 May 2026)

Come join us for a Progressive Euchre Tournament held on May 14 at 7pm at Lynde Creek Gardens, 50 Paul Burns Way, Whitby. Building is Accessible.

You will be winning your Lone Hands in the Common Room on the main floor. Snacks are served halfway through the evening and there is a cash bar.

Price is $16 per member

Because we have tables of 4, it is very important everyone who signs up attends. Please don't wait till the day of the game to notify Sharon Paine or Sally Charbonneau that you are sick. They need time to find you a fill-in so everyone can enjoy the Tournament. You must know how to play euchre.

Reserved parking is for all guests. Additional parking behind the building and street parking.

On May 22 come with us to the Stratford Festival and enjoy this musical Comedy SOMETHING ROTTEN.

The Bottom brothers, two struggling playwrights in Renaissance London, need a hit. That’s easier said than done when your chief competition is local rockstar William Shakespeare. The Bottom brothers’ plan? Write the world’s first musical!

You may hear references to many cultural moments. Can you hear references to Chorus Line or Princess Bride. to name just 2? Audiences will cheer, laugh and applaud.

We will take a bus to Stratford, lunch at Chuck’s Roadhouse (pay individually), and enjoy a matinee at the Stratford Fesival Theatre.

Cost is $130 per member and $135 per guest.

Bruce Bell Railway Tour (12 Jun 2026)

Join us for a fun and fascinating Railway Tour with the famous Bruce Bell.

We meet him inside Union Station in Toronto by the big clock, in the main hall, on Friday June 12 at 10am. From there he will guide us to the new Rail Land Bridge, into the Air Canada Centre, through it, and onto the former Round House, a massive railway building (now home of Steam Whistle Brewery) to see the huge and historic locomotives on display there. Other highlights include a monument to the Chinese railway workers who helped build the railway across Canada and a Radio Museum.

If you are planning to go for lunch, many restaurants are nearby as we will be ending the tour at noon. Some may need reservations because of Fifa.

Cost is $27 per member.
