INTEREST GROUP – CYCLING

GROUP LEADER(S) – John Patte

WHAT WE DO - We cycle weekly through the spring, summer and fall.

WHEN WE MEET – We cycle weekly on Tuesdays.

WHERE WE MEET – We meet at a variety of parks or trails throughout the Durham Region starting at approximately 10 A.M.  The rides generally last two to four hours, including a break at a coffee shop. Depending on time of year: 10 AM in Spring; earlier as temperatures rise and there is more daylight.

WHAT WE PAY – Coffee and/or treat depending on where/if we stop, and member’s preference.

HOW MANY MEMBERS –  36 members (17 members from Whitby-Brooklin and 19 members from Durham Central)

WHAT REQUIREMENTS – Members need a bicycle in working order, with a bell or other sounding equipment; members are also obliged to wear a bicycle helmet
