  On Wednesday June 5th  join us for our Annual Barbecue and start the Summer with a casual meal with friends where you don't have to cook.  The Barbecue will be at the Lakeridge Golf Course  on Brawley Rd. in Whitby. Appetizers will be passed around as you arrive.  As you munch on the appetizers the swing band, Mood Swing, will entertain us with their lovely upbeat sounds. You may want to dance or just listen while enjoying the appetizers and time with your friends.  For the menu, you will have a choice of Burgers  (Hamburger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Burger) or Sausage. There will be 3 salads (Ceasar, potato and Greek pasta) The meal will end with Dessert Squares, coffee and tea. A cash bar will be available. Cost of the barbecue for members is $40.

  The committee is planning activities, door prizes, Share the Wealth draw and a great time for all. 

  Come and join the celebration.

  Discover the Toronto Financial District with Bruce Bell.

  We are doing 2 offerings of this tour. This one is on June 28th. The second is on July 12th.

   Its an architectural tour of the Financial District with all its Art Deco and modern buildings to explore.  

  We will meet inside Toronto Union Station by the big clock, then walk up Bay Street, going inside some of Toronto most iconic buildings. We will explore all what's new and old.

  We will end at New City Hall. After the tour you are free to wander around Toronto or go to a restaurant of your choosing. There are so many new restaurants that have opened up downtown recently. The tour is approximately 90 minutes.

  If the weather is not pleasant the tour will continue using The Path. Bruce is a knowledgable and whitty Toronto guide. 

  We will be offering this same tour on July 12th. 

  Cost is $27. You can pay with Visa or Mastercard through Wild Apricot.

  On Wednesday July 10 join us for a day at the Races.  This will be at Ajax Downs on Alexander crossing, Ajax. 

  We will meet at 12 noon to have lunch at the track in our private room with washroom  and with a walk out to view the races.  The room is situated near the finish line.  We can purchase food at the track and eat in our room.  

  The Quarter Horse races begin at 1:30 There are several races and one will be dedicated to the Whitby Brooklin Probus Club.  Some lucky members will be invited to the winners circle for a picture with the winning horse and jockey.

  Cost is $`12.00 per person.   You may use Visa or Mastercard to book your ticket.

  This is a members only event.  No Guests.

  Join us as we learn about Toronto's waterfront with a guide from the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). While strolling along Queens Quay we will learn about the evolution of Toronto's waterfront from its industrail and commercial origins. This tour will explore history, art, and architecture as well as the recent revitalization of this area.

  Get dealt into the action at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Let someone else do the driving. Sit back and relax in the comfort of a deluxe coach. We will gather at Iroquois Park Sports Centre Parking lot to meet the bus. We expect to arrive at Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls at 11:30. Upon arrival, after presenting government issue photo ID, you will be given $35 in slot play. You are free to enjoy the casino and Niagara Falls until 4:30 when we will gather back on the bus for the ride back to Iroquois Park. 

  The cost is $42 for members and $44 for guests.  Remember guests must be 55 plus, a spouse, partner or potential Probus member. If you are registering a guest it must be done at the time that you register.

  A great time for a ballgame. Go see the Blue Jays in the renovated stadium. We have seats reserved for Wednesday September 11. The game is an afternoon game, starting at 3:00 PM. They will be playing the New York Mets. 

  We have excellent seats along the third base line. The cost for members is $55  and guests will pay $57. Remember guests must be 55 +, a spouse, a partner or a potential Probus member.
