Ward Island Tour and Ferry

Come join the fun! We are taking a fascinating tour of the the famous Ward Island in Toronto led by one of its longterm residents. It is a unique community of 700 living year round in the Toronto Island Park reached only by ferry.  We will meet our guide at 10:45am on Tuesday, Aug. 18 for a 90 minute tour. The terrain is flat making it accessible for most visitors and there are places to stop for a rest on the way if necessary.  Before returning to the ferry terminal, you may like to stop at one of the lovely restaurants for lunch or a drink.

Cost is $43.

Our plan is to take the Whiby Go Train at 8:44am,  walk 15 minutes from Union Station to the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at 9 Queen's Quay West, arriving there at 10:15am.  You can purchase your round trip ferry ticket in person there or you have the option to buy your ticket in advance online at City of Toronto Ferry Tickets.  Ticket cost is $6.15 for seniors.
