American Mahjong - Beginners Class

WHAT WE DO - We have fun learning the basics about the game. What all the tiles mean, how they work to make different hands. How to shuffle and set up a game. Learning the NMJL (National Mah Jongg League) CARD (to be provided) Some Mock-Up games till we are ready to play 

WHEN WE MEET – flexible once we find interest. Learning sessions Tuesday and/or Thursday's 1-3pm or 7-9pm. Initially beginners need to learn the game and I ask for a 4 week commitment. Other days and times can be discussed.

WHERE WE MEET – in my home Brooklin, ON

WHAT WE PAY – nothing to start - eventually if you like playing you will need a copyrighted card cost is $15 US.

HOW MANY MEMBERS – minimum 4 to learn and play. Must commit to a 4 week block of 2 hour sessions as a group to learn the game from scratch. Then the group can decide on play dates. To play we can accommodate up to 10 players.

WHAT REQUIREMENTS – If you like card games, like Rummy, Euchre, Canasta, Poker, any game where you recognize patterns. This is the game to learn. It's exciting, challenging but really so much fun. A great way to spend an afternoon or evening.
